Remove the Shoplit watermark from your ebook

On the Free plan, the PDF of your ebook carries a small Shoplit watermark. The Pro and Business plans remove it.

Where the watermark appears

Only in the exported PDF: the one you get with Export PDF, and the file your buyers download. Each page then shows a small label at the bottom, “Made with the free version of Shoplit · shoplit.io” (written in your ebook’s language), and a very faint Shoplit logo in the middle.

You never see it on the pages in the editor. A small label at the bottom right of the editor, like Watermark (free plan), only reminds you that the PDF will have it.

Remove it

1. Move to the Pro or Business plan: see Compare plans and check your creation limits. When you leave the Free plan, Shoplit removes the watermark from all your existing products, and your new ebooks are created without it.

2. To check one ebook, open Products > My products, then click the gear icon (Settings) on its card.

   

3. In the General tab, look at the «Shoplit.io» watermark switch. Turn it off if it’s on: the change is saved right away, and the line under it says Watermark hidden.

   

4. Export your PDF again: open the ebook, then click Export PDF. A PDF you downloaded before still has the watermark.

Already sold this ebook?

The file your buyers download is made at the first download, then kept. If someone downloaded it while it still had the watermark, the next download needs a new file. Turning the switch off in step 3 clears the old file for you. If the switch was already off, open the ebook and click Next (saving uses the ebook’s own title as the product name, so a name you changed in the General tab of the product settings may be replaced): this saves the ebook and clears the old file. You land on the price screen: you don’t need to change anything, click ← Back to editing. Either way, the next download gets a new file without the watermark, and buyers who already downloaded it keep their copy.

Note

On the Free plan, the switch is grayed out with Upgrade to a paid plan to remove it. On a paid plan, you can turn it back on for one ebook if you want to show it. If you go back to the Free plan, the watermark comes back on all your ebooks.
