Add a one-click upsell or downsell
Available on the Business plan.
An upsell is an extra offer shown right after the payment. The buyer accepts it in one click: their card, saved at checkout, is charged again without typing it. A downsell is a cheaper offer shown only to buyers who said no to the upsell.
-
In the left menu, open Funnels, then click Funnel on the card of your funnel. Its overview opens on the Steps tab.
-
Click the + right after the Checkout step, then Upsell. A page named Upsell 1 is added, with a title, a text, the offer and a guarantee.
-
On the new step, click + Choose the product, pick one of your ebooks or video courses, then click Choose. By default, the offer uses the product price. To sell it at another price, type it in Price of this offer before you click Choose.
-
Click Edit on the step to change the page in the editor. Click the offer in the page: the right panel shows the Product sold, the Price of this offer, then the texts of the offer (Title, Text, Accept button, Decline link and Note under the buttons).
-
Click Save.
You can also add the offer from the editor: click the + after Checkout in the steps bar at the top, then Upsell, and choose the product with Choose the product in the right panel.
Add a downsell
Section titled “Add a downsell”Click the + right after an upsell, then Downsell. It works like an upsell, but it only shows when the buyer declines that upsell. A downsell often sells the same product cheaper: choose the same product and type a lower Price of this offer.
When an offer has its own price, the product price is shown crossed out next to it if it’s higher. Use the product price brings the product price back. Choosing another product also clears the offer’s own price.
What your buyer sees
Section titled “What your buyer sees”- On the checkout, a note under the payment form says that their card is saved for the offers that follow.
- On the offer page, the accept button adds the product in one click. It creates a second order, delivered by email like the first one. The decline link moves on to the next step.
- If their bank asks them to confirm the payment, the offer is skipped and nothing is charged.
- The thank-you page lists every order of the visit.
Manage your offers
Section titled “Manage your offers”- In the editor, the ••• menu of an offer in the steps bar lets you Move before, Move after, Duplicate (the copy doesn’t take the downsell) or Delete this offer. Deleting an upsell also deletes its downsell, unless another upsell has none: the downsell then moves to it.
- On the funnel overview, drag a step by its handle to change the order. A downsell always stays right after its upsell.
- An offer without a product shows an orange dot in the editor, and buyers skip it.
